Welcoming Our Neighbors
In the midst of transport chaos, we managed to transport travelers to Central Bohemia—at least for a brief moment. In spring and summer, we focused on attracting tourists from Slovakia and Poland. We reached out to our neighbors with a visual campaign at Warsaw Airport and in Polish shopping centers, while in Slovakia, we used bus ads and media campaigns. Together with CzechTourism, we also ran a co-branded online campaign abroad.
In the fall, our “City Getaway” campaign targeted Czech visitors, with ads in the metro, suburban trains connecting Prague to Central Bohemia, South Bohemia, Ústí, and Hradec Králové regions, as well as on SC Pendolino trains. We also ran a successful bus campaign in cooperation with the Integrated Transport of Central Bohemia. Additionally, we signed a cooperation agreement with the Prague Integrated Transport system.
New Team Members and Wall of Fame
We’re excited to announce that our team is growing! In September, we welcomed a new colleague to our marketing department, and starting in the new year, two more will join us. While our team has been lacking men, that’s about to change! The finance department has also grown.
The Central Bohemia Convention Bureau has been busy too. They launched a new website and successfully organized the first Central Bohemia Tourism Forum in October. Their efforts were recognized by the Czech Convention Bureau, which awarded them the “Rising Star of 2023.”
The Central Bohemia Film Office continues to support filmmakers with location scouting for several exciting projects. These are still under wraps for now, but rest assured, they will be cinematic hits.
We also earned recognition at the Holiday World fair, taking home two prestigious awards. We won 2nd place for “Most Impressive Exhibit over 100 m²” and 1st place for the “Most Interesting Promotional Material” with our image brochure, Central Bohemia.
Last year, we launched an educational program, and this year we continued to expand minds. We trained 150 professionals from destination management and businesses in culture and tourism throughout Central Bohemia. We also began collaborating with the Pan-European University.
2023 also marked a farewell. In February, we handed over the Vrchbělá estate to the Central Bohemia Region.
You can follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. We also have a YouTube channel, and on visitcentralbohemia.com, you’ll find great tips for trips and experiences across Central Bohemia.
Now, we’re ready to dive into the new year with excitement. It will certainly bring challenges and opportunities, and we can’t wait!
