As in the previous year, Kutná Hora continued to dominate the list of the most visited tourist attractions in Central Bohemia. A number of other destinations also recorded significant growth. The biggest mover in the regional top ten was Aquapark Příbram, which increased visitor numbers by 77% year on year. Průhonice Park and Chateau followed closely, attracting 74% more visitors than in the previous year.
In 2025, more than 1,300 tourist attractions were monitored across the Czech Republic, attracting over 48 million visitors in total. In Central Bohemia, 215 tourist attractions were included in the monitoring, with a combined attendance of 6.6 million visitors.
“Every year, in cooperation with CzechTourism and regional destination management organisations, we collect visitor data from tourist attractions. The data is then evaluated by the Institute of Tourism, which publishes it as official statistics for the whole Czech Republic. The latest results were published by CzechTourism on Tuesday, 22 June,” says Jakub Kulhánek, Director of the Central Bohemia Tourist Board.
Water-based leisure activities remain exceptionally popular in Central Bohemia. As in 2024, Aquapalace Praha in Čestlice retained its title as the most visited tourist attraction in the region. In the national ranking of the 50 most visited attractions, it climbed to third place, improving by one position compared with the previous year and recording a 5% year-on-year increase in visitor numbers.
The growing popularity of water-related experiences is also reflected in the success of Aquapark Příbram and Aquapark Beroun, both of which made it into the regional top ten.
“The visitor results clearly confirm that Central Bohemia offers an exceptionally diverse range of experiences. Alongside commercial attractions and aquaparks, our historic gems play a key role. I am proud that the Czech Museum of Silver in Kutná Hora, which is an organisation established by the Central Bohemian Region, performed so well in such strong competition. Its ninth place in the regional top ten and success in the national museum category prove that our organisations are working at a truly high level. The region will continue to support the development of cultural heritage, which is one of the main drivers of tourism in Central Bohemia,” says Václav Švenda, Councillor for Culture, Heritage Preservation and Tourism.

“Central Bohemia continues to prove that it is one of the country’s attractive tourist regions. Central Bohemia Scores Across Multiple Categories
In addition to the national top 50 ranking of the most visited attractions, CzechTourism also published rankings of the most visited sites in individual categories. Central Bohemia achieved strong results in several of them.
In the category of religious monuments, several sites in Kutná Hora ranked among the most visited. The Sedlec site placed second with 339,000 visitors, followed by St Barbara’s Cathedral in third place with 296,000 visitors. The Corpus Christi Chapel in Kutná Hora ranked sixth with 119,000 visitors, while the Church of St James in Kutná Hora took seventh place with 94,000 visitors.
Central Bohemia also performed well in the category of military tourist attractions, with the Military Technical Museum in Lešany ranking second with 77,000 visitors. In the castles and chateaux category, six Central Bohemian sites appeared in the rankings: Průhonice Park and Chateau, Loučeň Chateau, Karlštejn Castle, Křivoklát Castle, Kačina Chateau and Konopiště Chateau. In the memorial sites category, the Lidice Memorial ranked second with 88,000 visitors.
The region also achieved notable results in the personalities category, with nine sites included overall. The Antonín Dvořák Memorial in Vysoká near Příbram ranked third with 11,000 visitors, while the Karel Čapek Memorial in Stará Huť near Dobříš placed fourth with nearly 11,000 visitors.
Two regional lookout towers appeared in the towers and observation points category, with Špulka Lookout Tower and Velký Blaník Lookout Tower both ranking in the top twenty.
Central Bohemia also succeeded in the folk culture category. The Polabí Ethnographic Museum in Přerov nad Labem ranked fifth, the Kouřim Open-Air Museum placed sixth, and the Mayrau Mining Open-Air Museum in Vinařice took tenth place.
In the museums and galleries category, the Škoda Museum ranked fourth and the Czech Museum of Silver in Kutná Hora placed sixth. Other successful sites included the museum at Kačina Chateau, the Central Bohemian Museum, GASK – Gallery of the Central Bohemian Region, the Italian Court and the Museum of the Bohemian Karst in Beroun.
In the natural tourist attractions category, the Koněprusy Caves ranked fifth, while Nahoru Resort Monínec placed sixth.
