The Central Bohemia Tourist Board focuses on promoting tourism and the region’s attractions, creating promotional materials and tourism products, and offering consultancy services in the tourism sector. An important part of its work also involves participating in domestic and international tourism fairs and exhibitions.

Another key priority is the development of destination management in the Central Bohemia region. In addition to collaborating with both commercial and public sector partners, the Board works closely with the Department of Culture, Heritage, and Tourism, which assumed responsibility for the Board at the end of 2020.

The Central Bohemia Tourist Board also supports the development of regional and local destination management organizations and provides approval for their certification.

The main goal of the Central Bohemia Tourist Board is to safeguard the interests and needs of the Central Bohemia region in tourism development, promote tourism and the region's attractions, and foster collaboration among key tourism stakeholders with an impact or reach in Central Bohemia.

The Central Bohemia Film Office, established under the Central Bohemia Tourist Board in January 2019, focuses on uncovering new filming locations, assisting producers with negotiations, permits, and resolving issues with authorities, and providing essential contacts and information. It takes advantage of its proximity to Prague, the hub of audiovisual production in the Czech Republic.

In 2022, the office expanded by hiring a new team member for the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) segment, joining other regional Convention Bureaus. The Central Bohemia Convention Bureau bridges the gap between demand and supply in the areas of conferences, congresses, corporate events, and incentives, continuing to strengthen its activities in collaboration with the Czech Convention Bureau.

The Central Bohemia Tourist Information Center, located at the corner of Husova and Karlova streets in Prague, is another key service offered by the organization. In 2024, the center underwent a major renovation, expanding its non-residential space to include a new shop featuring regional products.

Visitors can access a wide range of services, including information on tourist attractions and cultural events in Central Bohemia, as well as the sale of tourist cards like the Prague Visitor Pass, Prague Cool Pass, and tickets from TicketLive. The center is a member of the Association of Tourist Information Centers and is certified under the Czech Republic’s Unified TIC Classification.

The regional product shop offers an assortment of goods from local producers, such as wines, honey, herbal teas, chocolates, jams, and syrups. Additionally, visitors can find glassware, cosmetics, and handcrafted jewelry.

All activities of the Central Bohemia Tourist Board are focused on fostering systematic destination cooperation, creating a diverse tourism offer full of authentic experiences and high-quality services. This will contribute to sustainable tourism and fully leverage the region's potential, with the ultimate goal of establishing Central Bohemia as a prominent and competitive tourist destination.
