Central Bohemia Film Office Launches New Website

The Central Bohemia Film Office, part of the Central Bohemian Tourism Board (SCCR), has launched a new website together with a new visual identity. The new portal completes the Film Office’s overall rebranding and aligns its presentation with the visual style of the Central Bohemia destination brand and SCCR. The website is designed for film professionals and production companies, as well as the general public and film enthusiasts.

The website was designed and developed by Integritty, the company behind SCCR’s current destination and corporate websites. As a result, the new Film Office website follows the same visual and user-experience principles as SCCR’s other digital platforms, together creating a consistent presentation of Central Bohemia.

“With the launch of the new portal, we are completing the alignment of our key digital platforms. The Film Office now has a visual identity that clearly shows it is part of the Central Bohemia brand. At the same time, we wanted to create a platform that works well for film industry professionals while also appealing to visitors looking to explore places they recognise from films and television,” says Jakub Kulhánek, Director of the Central Bohemian Tourism Board.

For film professionals, the website serves primarily as a practical starting point for preparing productions in the region. One of its key features is a database of filming locations showcasing the diversity of Central Bohemia – from castles, châteaux and historic towns to industrial sites and natural landscapes.

Production companies can also find an overview of the services provided by the Film Office, information on filming permits and the use of public spaces, contacts and other practical information designed to make both the preparation and production process easier. The portal also includes a database of regional suppliers and an option for owners to submit their own properties or locations for consideration, allowing more distinctive sites across Central Bohemia to become part of the region’s film location portfolio.

“We want filmmakers to be able to find all the essential information they need to prepare a production quickly and easily, while at the same time getting a sense of the wide range of possibilities Central Bohemia has to offer,” adds Martina Kuncová from the Central Bohemia Film Office, which has been promoting the region’s filmmaking potential and providing services to Czech and international audiovisual productions since 2019.

The new portal also aims to appeal to a wider audience. Visitors can discover places associated with well-known films and television series, explore the region’s filmography and learn more about productions filmed in Central Bohemia.

“The editorial section of the website will continue to grow over the coming months. We are also developing our own original content, offering a behind-the-scenes look at filmmaking and introducing the people and stories connected with productions in the region. Visitors can already find exclusive interviews with actors, directors and other filmmakers, behind-the-scenes stories and interesting facts from productions, as well as stories behind individual filming locations,”adds Martina Kuncová.

The Central Bohemia Film Office supports film and audiovisual productions throughout the entire process – from initial location scouting and communication with property owners, municipalities and institutions to assistance with the practical requirements of filming. Its aim is to develop Central Bohemia’s filmmaking potential and promote the region as an attractive and professionally prepared film destination.
