Central Bohemia won two awards at the Holiday World fair

The Central Bohemia Tourist Board, promoting the region’s tourism, won two prestigious awards at the Holiday World international fair. It claimed 1st place in the 'Most Impressive Exhibition Over 100 m²' category and 2nd place for 'Best Promotional Material' with a set of brochures printed on recycled paper.

The Central Bohemia Tourist Board showcased the region’s diverse character. “Central Bohemia clearly has a lot to offer, as evidenced by the long-term visitor numbers. I’m pleased that, together with our partners, we continue to work on showing both domestic and international visitors the beauty of our region. The recognition of our Central Bohemia Tourist Board at the Holiday World fair proves that quality promotion is essential when presenting our region. A big thanks to my colleagues at the Tourist Board, who prepared the most impressive exhibition according to the jury,” said Václav Švenda, the Councillor for Culture, Heritage Protection, and Tourism.

This year, the exhibition focused on active tourism, showcasing options for active vacations and relaxation. Visitors to the fair were able to explore Central Bohemia through engaging visuals and promotional materials. They had the chance to try out a rowing machine, a golf putting mat, taste regional beer, or explore barrier-free experiential trails with the Disway Trails app. Various regional organizations from Central Bohemia, as well as cultural institutions, provided their own promotional materials and maps at the exhibition.

The brochures of the Central Bohemia Tourist Board also demonstrated diversity and environmental responsibility, winning 2nd place in the “Most Interesting Promotional Material” category. The set of brochures, including the Cruising Guide on the Elbe and Vltava Rivers, Cycling Tris, Hiking Trips, and Pilgrimage Sites, were recognized for their environmentally responsible production on recycled paper.

“We have long been committed to a creative and responsible approach to promoting the region. We appreciate this recognition and believe it will help further raise the visibility of Central Bohemia,” said Jakub Kulhánek, Director of the Central Bohemia Tourist Board.
